Print - General requirements

All advertisements should be supplied as highresolution PDFs. Please ensure that the file is press optimised with all fonts and graphics properly embedded, following the guidelines below. Please pre-flight documents prior to sending.

All advertisements must include 3mm bleed.

Pictures should have a resolution of 300 dpi, and complete advertisements a resolution of 450 dpi at 100 %. All images should be supplied as colour corrected RGB. CMYK, RGB and spot colours should not be combined. TIFF or EPS formats with binary encoding only. DCS should be set to the “Off” position.

Fonts must be included. Please avoid bitmapped fonts. Due to technical limitations in the printing process we recommend a 12 point font, or larger, if the text is coloured. Similarly, white text of 12 points or more on coloured background is advised.

All advertisement copies are subject to the approval of the publisher. In the absence of contrary instructions, advertisers’ films and artwork (including digital artwork files) will be disposed of after a period of 12 months from the dates they last appeared in the publication. If a copy is not supplied in time for press, the last available copy will be inserted. The copy requirements specified above must be met by the advertiser. If not, any necessary work carried out by the publisher to meet such requirements will be invoiced to the advertiser. Where designs are produced for the advertiser by the publisher, the designs remain copyright of the publisher, and their use is restricted to the publication.
